Welcome to Frank Photography!
My name is Suzie and welcome to my page!
My photography journey started at the tender age of 8, when my gran bought me my first camera at a local Christmas fete. The camera was a second hand 35mm film camera, it was bright yellow and it had a lime print on the front. My gran would buy me the film and then she would take it to be developed at the local pharmacy. I had to wait two weeks for my photos to come back and the minute she handed over that envelope, I would just devour them, flicking through over and over again. And the cycle would repeat.
Little did my gran know, the day she bought me that camera, a seed was planted. Since then, I've always had a camera of sorts, whether that was upgrading to a better film camera, to then going digital in my 20s. I was THAT girl on a night out, I was THAT girl that used to take hundreds of photos to then have to painfully upload them to individual Facebook albums that had a maximum capacity of 50 photos per album! Snore! I do not regret a single photo, I'm not sure my friends can't say the same, but I have a whole box full of photos, full of precious memories from my 20's and the silly things we'd get up to. My most treasured possessions.
I now shoot with an Olympus OM1 and I love it. She is pretty, light and packs a punch in picture quality. I spent a lot of 2022 traveling around the UK doing Street photography, which is how I gained my confidence and developed a love and skillset for candid style photography.
And why the name Frank?
Well, it's the name of my beloved Fiat 500. Frank and I have been on so many road trips and been through so much together. I feel like Frank is an extension of me and when it came to naming my business, there was nothing that felt more right than Frank.
